A professional service from a qualified and experienced Counsellor/Psychotherapist.
I will endeavour to listen to you with empathy, understanding and non judgemental acceptance.
I work psychodynamically which means that I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches all of which stress the importance of past experiences and relationships in influencing the way we currently act and feel, sometimes in ways which contribute to and exacerbate psychological problems such as anxiety and depression.
Psychodynamic therapy puts a high value on the relationship between the therapist and client as a catalyst for change and psychological growth, and a means through which we are enabled to understand and possibly resolve the root causes of emotional and psychological distress.
As a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) I adhere to a professional code of ethics.
