Psychodynamic Counsellor

I am an experienced and qualified Counsellor/Psychotherapist, based in Oakham, and I can help with a wide range of issues including:

  • Bereavement Support
  • Substance abuse and dependency
  • Chronic Illness
  • Abuse
  • Depression
  • Anxiety

I work psychodynamically which means that I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches all of which stress the importance of past experiences and relationships in influencing the way we currently act and feel, sometimes in ways which contribute to and exacerbate psychological problems such as anxiety and depression.

As a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) I adhere to a professional code of ethics.

I work in Oakham Mondays to Thursdays between 10AM and 2PM.

I see clients at Voluntary Action Rutland, Rutland Community Hub, Lands’ End Way, Oakham, Rutland, LE15 6RB, there is parking available and excellent facilities for disabled clients.

Voluntary Action Rutland have COVID-19 infection control measures in place. These will be forwarded to clients prior to the resumption or commencement of face to face counselling, along with updates from the site as they are issued. Clients are expected to comply with these protocols and supply their contact details to the centre when signing in for Test and Trace. Depending on the risk level this may also require the use of face coverings. Voluntary Action Rutland – Infection Control Measures
